once in a dark night i was alone at home . My parents had gone out for their job . I was reading horror stories that i suddenly heard pitter patter sound . I went to window and saw it was raining . A cold wind blew through the window. As i went back to my study table the power got cut. i was pretty scared and gave a piercing yell . Everything was happening according to the story i was reading.I heard a loud sound which did not seem familiar. Now i was too scared to move . Thunder and lighting was flashing in the dark sky . I quickly got up and lit a candle and sat quietly and prayed to Lord to make my parents come fast . I suddenly heard a bang on the door . I was sure that it would not be my parents . I didnot dare to open the door. The person standing outside was continuously ringing the bell and i got annoyed. To my utter surpriseness ,the power came . I quickly got up and opened the door and i was more surprised to see that the people were none other than my parents...

'Fright in the Night!'
It was a dark night, and Emily was sound asleep. She had a tiring day, and she was to blame for it. She ran around the society the whole day, looking for 'haunted houses', and watched useless and scary documentaries about urban ghost stories. She would feel tired after all.
She lied down in her bed, and the moment she did, her eyes flicked asleep. She slept soundly, but she looked like she would be woken up by even a mild clap of a hand. But that wasn't what woke her up.
She heard a crash of thunder, and a glass shattering. She woke up with a jolt and covered herself up with her blanket. A few more streaks or lightning and claps of thunder cracked. She was noticeably scared, thinking the urban legend, the Hookman, whom she made fun of, came here to take her vengeance. A shiver passed through her, and she shut her eyes tight. She didn't realize when she fell asleep, and how peacefully she slept during the frightful thunderstorm.
