Answer:
Youth are the future of the country. Any idea of national development is j ust a myth without the active participation of youth. National development is like a relay race. The old generation passed on the baton to the waiting team. The young blood has dreams, passions and hopes. They are impatient and dynamic. Their bubbling enthusiasm has to be regulated and utilized. Their surplus power to be exploited for the welfare of the country. Proper guidance and direction can bring them to the forefront of national development.
The government of India has been rather slow to recognise the role of youth in economic development. Even the state governments and voluntary organizations have not been much different. No double the NCC and the NSS provide a useful platform. They train the youth of the country to be dedicated volunteers in natural calamities and in war. They are have proved their worth in running relief works in the earthquake affected areas in Gujarat NSS units have successfully utilized the youth power for national development. Be it growing more three or keeping the environment clean or about literacy programmes, the young NSS volunteers have done a wonderful job. The youth should be engaged in construction and gainful work. We shouldn’t let their youthful energy go water. Let us channelise, organise and utilize the youth for national development.
