Take a mirror, torch and two cardboard roll. Now, keep this mirror on a plane surface . Now, set the first cardboard roll set another roll such that it will be equal to another opposite angle and allow the torch light to strike the mirror through that first roll. Now you can see that the incident ray or first ray passes through the the first cardboard roll which strike the mirror and the reflected ray is passing through the second cardboard roll. and when we draw a 90 degree from the mirror this imaginary line is called normal.
