However, the applications can be categorised as-
1. E-learning- provides electronic content to all the learners providing a common platform for teaching and learning.
2. E-commerce- aids companies by providing access to markets mainly on a larger scale, and also benefits the consumers by providing accessibility and services and goods.
3. E-health- provides specialist sites in several branches of medicine, and also medical consultations without the need of visiting the doctor's chamber. It also helps in circulating information based on several health issues.
4. E-government- takes care of transactions and public services provided in the electronic form with the help of computers to make work easier and convenient.
