1. Drying food products , grains , snacks , vegetables , etc is done so they can be cooked later. Some of the examples of this methods are.

Bed dryers , in this method the food is preserved or soaked in water overnight.

Freeze Drying , kept in fridge to preserve.

Microwave-vacuum drying, This absorbes the water from the food , kept in microwave.

Shelf dryers, kept in shelf.

Spray drying , sprayed.

2. Freezing , freezing in fridge. This is also useful to prevent some fruits and vegetables from getting infected by worms, etc.

Or to set some dishes like cake, ice-cream, etc.

3. Oiling , Layering the veggies in the jars with spices and herbs and pour in enough oil. Like , pickles.

4. Some foods need to be salted to prevent them . Salting is a method of preserving food, that was more common before modern refrigeration. Salting preserves food by drawing water out of the food, preventing bacteria growing and spoiling the food.

Examples are Salting fish .Vegetables like cabbage, runner beans , etc.
