Rajasthan receives scanty rainfall because
1)The aravali ranges lie parallel to the Arabian sea branch.
2)And because they do not cause any obstruction to the rain bearing winds, it dies not receive any rainfalls.
3) It is too hot.
4) there is no water available and thus the winds remain dry.
5) the mansoons fail to reach this area.
6) the winds do not come across any barrier to cause the necessary uplift to cool the winds.
