Kudankulam Nuclear Project is the single largest nickers power station bulit for power supply in Tamilnadu.
But it was shut up due toany reasons including the two-dimensional
1.KKNPP triggered India’s largest anti-nuclear protests against installation of this project due to fear among people.
2. There was safety issue also.India’s senior atomic energy experts. In 2013, nuclear scientist and former chairman of atomic energy regulatory board A Gopalakrishnan raised suspicions over substandardequipment arrived in the plant. His words -“Foolish and dangerous things have been done undercover"
But , on August 10, 2016, commission the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant Unit – I, was commissioned.
