Endocrine glands release chemical substances directly into the bloodstream or tissues of the body. The chemical substances released by the endocrine glands are known as hormones. Exocrine glands release chemical substances through ducts to outside the body or onto another surface within the body.

As the word suggests, "Endo" means Inside + "Crine" means to secrete, therefore Endocrine means = To Secrete Inside.
As the word suggests, "Exo" means Outside + "Crine" means to secrete, therefore Exocrine means = To secrete Outside.

exocrine :Located away from the target.

- Examples = Pineal Gland, Pituitary Gland, Hypothalamus etc.

endocrine: Located over the target to pour the secretion.

- Examples = Sweat Glands, Salivary Glands, Mammary Glands etc.
