- Echinoderms are exclusively marine spiny - skinned animals .
- They reproduce sexually and is having indirect development ( larva stage is present ).
- The larva of echinoderms are bilaterally symmetrical while adults are radially symmetrical.
- The outer endoskeleton of echinoderms are calcareous and is embedded with spicules for protection .
- Their mouth is downdardly directed while anus is directed upwards.
