1. when plastic is burnt it releases CO2 to which causes problem in the ozone layer due to which the UV rays fall on the earth and the temperature increases.

2. Plastics are non-biodegradable they don't dissolve in the soil nor they can be consumed by any animals. and if it is consumed the animals may choke and die.

3. plastics if kept for a long time it reacts with the environment and becomes inefficient to use hence plastics cannot be used for long time.

4.Plastic bags thrown carelessly on roads get into drains and the sewer system and choke them.

5.Plastic buried deep in landfills can leach harmful chemicals that spread into groundwater.
