Study of the main theoretical approaches to development and their materialization in strategies and policies, with special emphasis on the approaches of Human Development and Sustainable Development.

Specific analysis of some of the more relevant dimensions in development processes (gender, poverty and inequality, environment, local development, governability, conflicts and human security).

Examination of current challenges faced by international cooperation for development.
