Characteristics of phylum-Nemathelminthes :

(a) They are free living aquatic (marine and fresh water), terrestrial or parasitic in plants and animals.

(b) They are triploblastic bilaterally symmetrical, unsegmented, cylindrical or flattened worms with organ system level of body organization.

(c) Pseudocoelom cavity is found between body wall and the digestive tract.

(d) The skin is covered by tough resistant cuticle. It is followed by syncytial (multinucleated) epidermis and muscle layer.
