The five demerits of political competition are as follows

1.The misuse of government money by current government leaders which are in power by the time.

2.Small parties who want to do something for the society then they do not do any thing because of big parties.

3.The people do not want to join politics system because of the unhealthy competition which is being going on India.

4) Politicians use dirty methods for winning elections Like they try to buy votes by using money because of high competition.

5.Smaller new party may don't have money or other different types of resources in order to do rallies or to famous so they are unable to come in level of the big parties than the big parties may win the election easily.
