Answer:

The five difference between mass and weight are as under:

1)Mass is property of matter .The mass of an object is the same everywhere.while as weight depends on the effect of gravity .weight varies according to location.

2)Mass can never be zero while as weight can be zero if no gravity acts upon an object ,as in space.

3)Mass is scaler quantity it has magnitude while as weight is vector quantity .It has magnitude and direction towards the centre of the earth.

4)Mass may be measured using an ordinary balance while as weight is measured using a spring balance.

5) Mass is usually measured in grams and kilograms while as weight often measured in newton, a unit of force.

Answer:

1.The basic difference between mass and weight is that mass is the amount of matter in an object, while weight is the force of gravity by which earth attracts towards it.

2.Mass is the scalar quantity and weight is a vector quantity.
