Five difference between metals and nonmetals are -:

(1) metals are ductile but nonmetals are non ductile
(2) metals are malleable through which they can be beaten into thin sheets but nonmetals are non malleable
(3) metals are good conductor of heat i ..e. they allow heat to pass through them easily but non metals are bad conductor of heat.
(4) metals are good conductor of electricity but non metals are bad conductor of electricity
(5) metals are sonorous but non metals non sonorous

METAL-

1-malleability

2-ductility

3-good conductor of heat and electricity

4-lustrous

5-generally hard

6-high tensile strength

7-solid in room temperature

8-high melting point

9-high densities

10-sonorous

NON METAL-

1-non malleable

2-non ductile

3-bad conductor

4-non lustrous

5- generally soft

6-not so strong

7-solid ,liquid,gas in room temperature

8-low melting point

9-low densities

10-non sonorous

USES OF SILICON -

1-IN UTENSILS

2-IN MAKING GLASS

3-TO MAKING POTTERY

4-MAKING DYNAMO AND TRANSFORMER

5-USED IN LASER
