Plastics are VERY harmful to the environment but its not the plastic buckets and bottles that are the problem its what happens when they are exposed to UV and water they break down in to microscopic particles that get everywhere and can be found even in the deepest parts of the ocean, challenger deep(the deepest spot in the ocean) this plastic can be found in most if not all sea life and so ends up in are fishing nets and then in us and then ends up in are bones and other tissues this is a big issues that could get a lot bigger VERY fast. this is because most of the oceans plastic is still in its larger (original) form and it yet to fully break down, but if we do not remove it before it does then the problem will get alot worse. this problem is amplified by plasti that was original very small or thin so things like plastic bags, confetti or glitter are an ecological disaster as they will fully break down quickly and get in to are food faster and in the case of glitter it is too fine to be filtered out by nets or most filters so it is basically impossible to remove from the ocean once it get there think of that next time you see a shelf full of glitter.

2.when we burn plastics it release a lots of harmful gas known as carbondioxide which is very harmful to the atmosphere....
