1. latitude lines runs east-west whereas longitude lines runs north-south.
2. latitude readings tell us about the north-south position of the object under consideration on the Earth's surface while the longitude readings tell us about the east-west position of the object.
3. latitudinal lines are parallel lines they do not meet at any point but the longitudinal lines emerge from a point and meets another point on the opposite side.(ie.north pole and south pole) .
4. latitudinal lines are parallel to the equator and tropics of cancer and Capricorn whereas longitudinal lines intersects them.
