First of all it is a common thing that wool is obtained from sheep and silk is obtained from the silk moths.
So their differences are very far.
WOOL
1) First of all the wool get removed from the sheep through shearing.
2) Then it is washed to remove grease, dust, and dirt through scouring.
3) Then it is separated on grading and also by sorting. Then it is left for dying into various colours.
4) Then after it is spun into yarn and knitted.
SILK
1) The eggs of silk moth are incubated until they hatch into larvae.
2) The larvae are mainly fed on mulberry leaves for six to seven weeks. Then these spin the cocoon in eight days.
3) The cocoons are then boiled to kill the worm inside the cocoon. Then the filaments are obtained from the cocoon by reeling.
