Some of the functions of Mesosomes are

1 )Mesosomes are involved in septum formation during cell division.

2)They carry a site for the attachment of signal peptides

3)They have a an attachment for DNA for replication and contains  enzymes used during replication.

4)They control the activity of Autolytic enzymes

mesosomes are the infoldings in the plasma membrane, these are rich in enzymes that helps to perform functions like cellular respiration,DNA replication, secretion of glycocalyx and cell division(most imporatant function;it increases the surface area of the cell membrane.
It is to be noted here that not all the Prokaryotic cells have mesosomes. The major function of mesosomes is to increase the surface area of the plasma membrane. This drastic increase in the surface area of the membrane mainly helps the cell to carry out cellularrespiration more efficiently
