Advantages of HYV seeds

HYV seeds are high yielding variety seeds which produce very high yield for farmers and make it profitable for them compared to normal seeds

Disadvantages of HYV seeds

HYV seeds require very high rate of irrigation which is not possible in all areas and along with HYV seeds we should use so many chemical fertilisers which affects the soil and makes it unfertile
