short sightedness is called myopia and long sightedness is known as hypermetropia....
in short sightedness we are unable to see distant object clearly and in long-sightedness we are unable to see close objects clearly
.. in the case of short sightedness the image is formed before retina and in the case of long-sightedness the image is formed beyond retina and to correct these , a concave lens (diverging lens) is used for myopia ... and for long-sightedness a convex lens ( converging lens ) is used... hope u get it... thanks for reading it... have a great day. :)
