The brahmaputra rises in the Tibet east of mansarowar lake very close to the source of the Indus and the satluj. It Is one of the largest rivers in the world with a total length of 2900km. It flows eastwards parallel to the Himalayas.

Ganga river is formed by two rivers:the bagirathi which rises from gangotri glacier and the alaknanda rising from alkapuri glacier. 2)it is the largest basin in India. 3)Ganga has formed large meanders,flood plains and ox-bow lakes.
