There can be infinite number of rational numbers, Ex: -2/3, 4.6, π etc. Rational numbers are those numbers whose decimal expansion is either non-recurring terminating or recurring non- terminating. They can be written in the form of p/q, where p is the numerator, and q is the denominator which is not equal to 0. They can be both positive and negative. All integers, whole numbers and natural numbers come under this group only, and rational numbers come under a larger group of real numbers.
