Write any three rules of vedic maths with 2 examples each.
Answers
1) Nikhilam Sutra
With this technique it is simpler to multiply numbers which are close to power of 10.
For example,
(i) 9*8
10-9=1
10-8=2
1*2=2
9-2=7 and 8-1=7
So, answer is: 72
(ii) 9*6
10-9=1
10-6=4
1*4=4
9-4=5
6-1=5
So, our answer is:- 54
(iii)94*96
100-94=6 and 100-96=4
6*4=24
And 94-4=90 and 96-6=90
So, our final answer is: 9024
(iv)99*96
100-99=1 and 100-96=4
1*4=04
And 99-4=95 and 96-1=95
So, our final answer is: 9504
(v) 91*95
100-91=9 and 100-95=5
9*5=45
And 91-5=86 and 95-9=86
So, our final answer is: 8645
2) Ekayunena Purvena
It is applicable whenever the multiplier completely consists of nine.
In this first coloumn is 1 less multiplicand and second coloumn is complement of above coloumn.
For example,
2*9=1 | 8
3*9=2 | 7
4*9=3 | 6
5*9=4 | 5
6*9=5 | 4
7*9=6 | 3
3) Antyaordasake'pi
Steps:-
Check if addition if last digits is 10.
If yes, multiply them and write it in 2 compartments.
For Example,
(i) 34*36
3*4 | 4*6
12| 24
1224
(ii) 83*87
8*9 |3*7
72|21
7221
(iii) 112*118
11*12|2*8
132|8
1328
(iv) 12*13
15|3*2
156
(v) 14*16
2|24
224
