Hahaha this chapter was just in my sister's book. The map on the left is made by the Arab Geographer Al- Idrisi, in 1154 CE, and thus it shows the inverted sort of geography with contrast to what the subcontinent is really today. We see the island of Sri Lanka on the north, where we expected to find the North india! And also the map on the left has names marked written in Old Arabic.

The map on the right is more detailed than the left one and there coastlines are well-detailed. This was made by a french cartographer in the 1790s and was thus used by many European sailors. This maps has places written in french and is surprisingly a detailed one. Therefore, it's more accurate than the left one!
