Forging for food, which was more often than not almost entirely fruits and vegetables. Meat was consumed, but more sporadically and not as often as we see today. For some people fish was the most convenient to hunt. After small cities had been established, it became prevalent among markets due to what was once scarcity, until it was eventually engrained into the different cultures. Some tribes obviously hunted more than others, due to the fact they had to make the most from their natural resources. We have to stop and realize that bread (made from Einkorn) hadn't been invented until a certain period in time.

The early premitive human being was very kind to nature. He won't cut down trees..  He lived in forests accepting the nature as it is. He had the fear of lightening and prayed god for this welfare. He worn the clothes made by the leaves of the forest. He was not greedy. He ate whatever the trees given him as food. But today's modern man is very greedy. The basic needs of human being are food, shelter and clothing. For shelter, now man is cutting down the trees in order to expand his company.
