Advantages of force

Force of gravity keeps us in orbit with our feet on the ground.
Force of friction stops us from sliding all over the place.

Disadvantages of force

Force of friction/ air resistance slows down movement and increases petrol consumption.
Ice on the roads reduces friction so you can crash your car.
