1.  The waste management process is simplified.
2.  There is useful energy extracted from waste like animal dung and bio-wastes.
3.  The problem of cleanliness, rotting of wastes, stink, insects, bacteria are all solved by using waste and animal dung in useful energy generation.
4.  It is clean energy with no pollution.
5.  Dung and bio-wastes are locally available.  
6.  These fuels are cheap.
7.  They are available regularly and throughout the year in predictable quantities.
8.  Calorific value of biogas is more than the energy obtained from burning of dung and bio-waste.
9.   Any remaining bio-waste and dung could also be used as manure to fertilize (organically) agricultural fields.
