Archimedes' Principle : When a solid body is partially are completely immersed in a fluid, the fluid exerts an upward force on the body, whose magnitude is equal to the weight of the displaced fluid.

Archimedes' principle states that “When a body is immersed completely or partially in a fluid, it experiences an upward force that is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the body.” Applications: A hydrometer uses Archimedes' principle to determine the density of any liquid.

SHIP: A ship floats on the surface of the sea because the volume of water displaced by the ship is enough to have a weight equal to the weight of the ship. FISHES: 5. Fishes :Certain group of fishesuses Archimedes' principles to go up and down the water.
