The two characteristics of an independent person​ are-

1. Freedom - An independent person has their own freedom, there is no head, he can act independently and self-direct himself. He can act upon his free will and no one is there to judge him\her.
2. Risk-taker and Future Planner - An independent person is a risk-taker as he acts freely, he hesitated to involve anyone in his things. He plans his future according himself, a goal-oriented person. He is the one who executes the plan and suffers if anything goes wrong.
