Two basic concepts of Lamarckism are:-

1. Internal vital forces:- According to this type of force there will be tendency to increase in size of their organs. They can increase their whole body even by this force.

2. Inheritance of acquired characters:- In a very litte time an organism may develop new characters because of internal vital forces, effect of environment, new needs, even new use & disuse of organs. So from one generation to another generation all these characters are acquired. It becomes successful when it goes continuously through several generations. Variations are accumulated in such a way that they get ability to produce new type of species.
