A commercial bank is a bank that is formed for the commercial purpose and hence its primary aim is to earn profit from its banking business. On the other hand, cooperative banks are owned and operated by the members for a common purpose, which is to provide financial service to agriculturists and small businessmen

Write any two difference between State Bank and Co-operative Banks.

The two main differences between State Banks and Cooperative Banks are as follows. State Bank is a national-level government bank, whose main function is to work on a commercial basis. State Bank is a commercial bank, whose main objective is to earn profits and provide banking facilities in urban and rural areas. Co-operative banks work on the principle of cooperation, these banks are mostly in small towns in rural areas, where there is a need for small-scale industries.

State Bank can take loans from Reserve Bank because this national-level bank is a commercial bank. Co-operative banks cannot take loans from the Reserve Bank. They can take loans only from State Cooperative Bank.
