CONDENSATION

Condensation is the change of the physical state of matter from the gaseous phase into the liquid phase.

Condensation can occur due to many factors. A sudden drop in the temperature can also cause condensation. Dew formation around a cool drink is such a phenomenon.

EVAPORATION

Evaporation is the phase change of a liquid to the gas state.

Evaporation occurs only on the surface of the liquid.

This process can occur is any temperature. The common sources for evaporation energy are sun light, wind or temperature of the environment. The rate of evaporation of a liquid depends on these external factors as well some internal factors of the liquid.
