• Carpel is unit of 'gynoecium' which is the female reproductive whorl of the flower while stamen is the unit of 'androecium' which is the male reproductive whorl of the flower.
• Carpel consist of three parts namely stigma, style and ovary while stamen consist of two parts namely anther and the filament.
