Answer:

Nature uses microorganisms to carry out fermentation processes, and for thousands of years mankind has used yeasts, moulds and bacteria to make food products such as bread, beer, wine, vinegar, yoghurt and cheese, as well as fermented fish, meat and vegetables.

Any two examples of food products that are obtained from help of a microbes are yogurt and bread.

  • Both the above-mentioned food products are a result of fermentation by microbes.

  • Yogurt- Two bacteria named Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus are mostly used to ferment milk. The milk is at first boiled followed by the addition of these microbes.

The protein part of the milk, casein can also be used to produce cheese with the help of microbes.

  • Bread- The ingredients such as flour, salt water and yeast( mostly Saccharomyces cerevisiae) is taken to make a dough. The carbohydrate present in the dough is utilised by the yeast to bring about fermentation.

This leads to the production of carbon dioxide, which makes the dough rise and thereby provides a soft texture to it.
