Static inertia is the inability of the body or object....Simply inertia is the inablity of the body...It means if body at rest it will not move by itself...because of its inability and so called its Inertia...
For example...if a ball at rest , it will remain at rest becuase of its inability as it cannot move by itslef...so it is nothing just inertia of ball...Think if ball start move by itslef then it has ability to move...so ball dont have inertia...
As ball at rest...so we cal it inertia of rest or static inertia...
There are two more types of inertia...which are...inertia of motion and inertia of direction...
Examples of inertia of rest or static inertia...
(1) Detaching dust particles from blanket...When a blanket is beaten by a stick by applying some force, dust particles get detached due to inertia of rest...
(2)...Leaning of body backward when bike starts...This can also be explained with the help static inertia...When bike at rest...our body still rest with bike...but when it starts..our lower part which is incontact with body move farward whereas..the upper part of the body which is not in contact with body Remain at rest due to static inertia...as upper body has inability which do not go farward by itself...
So Upper part of the lean backward due to this static inertia..
