Factors Responsible for Deterioration of the Parliament of India!

The growth of delegated legislation is perhaps the most important factor for the decline of Parliament. In the present day world, it is not possible for the Parliament to devote its entire time to the details of legislative measure. Hence all the bills contain a clause empowering the government to frame necessary regulations and bye-laws. Thus, delegated legislation robs the Parliament to a great extent, the law-making power, resulting in the decline of the prestige of the Parliament.

Explanation:

The two factors which are responsible for deteriorating political conditions of India:

  • Lack of Educated population – In a country like where half of the population is not educated, is the reason behind the deteriorating political conditions. In the absence of improper education people aren’t able to question the working of government.
  • Multi Party system – The “multi-party system” in India is another reason. The Multi-party system is the system, in that the government can be selected among the multi-party system by the people in the democratic way.
