Comparison between Biot-Savart Law and Coulomb’s Law:
Similarities:
1. Both magnetic and electric fields at a point are inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the field source and the point.
2.Both laws works on the principle of superposition .
3.Both magnetic and electric fields have sources that are linear in nature
Differences:
1.The source of electrostatic field is scalar in nature. Whereas, the source of magnetic field, is vector in nature.
2.Electric field always acts along the plane containing distance between point charge and the point where electric field is to be calculated.
But the magnetic field acts in the plane perpendicular to the plane of distance between the current element and the point.

Hey !!
SIMILARITIES
Both electrostatic field and magnetic field
- Follow the principle of superposition.
- Depends inversely on the square of distance from source to the point of interest
DIFFERENCES
- Electrostatic field is produced by a scalar source (q) and the magnetic field is produced by a vector source (Idl)
- Electrostatic field is along the displacement vector between source and point of interest, while magnetic field is perpendicular to the plane, containing the displacement vector and vector source.
- Electrostatic field is angle independent, while magnetic field is angle dependent between source vector and displacement vector.
GOOD LUCK !!
