• The wind farms/ mills require huge spaces that are not easily available in metropolitan cities and hence they are set up in areas away from the cities. Hence, the transportation cost and maintenance cost increases.

• The moving blades create a lot of noise pollution.

• They require areas with constant flow of wind which are difficult to find.

• The wind farms may use up fertile lands that could be used for cultivation.
