Linear equation is represented by y = mx+c; (x = my+c)

here m is the slope of line and c is y-axis (x-axis) intercept of line;

x is independent variable;

but y is dependent variable;

One this is important that if any line is parallel to x or y axis there is value of slope is zero;

For parallel line m = 0;

1. Parallel to x axis line is x = 1 (1 - x intercept) green line

2. Parallel to y axis line y = 2 (2 y intercept); blue line

Graph is attached here.
