two points lying on the x-axis are said to be equidistant from the origin if they are equal in magnitude and opposite in signs that is one point will be on positive x-axis and the other point will be its reflection in the negative x-axis. let firstpoint be (k,0) then second point will be (-K, 0)

I) (2,2).

II) (2,-2).

• The points on any axis has two seperate values which are usually denoted by x and y.

• The points which are situated on X axis always have a positive x value and the value of y is dependent on the point's position.

• If the point is situated in the left part of the X axis then the value of the y will be negative and when the point is situated in the right side of the X axis of then the value of y will be positive.
