Precautions to be taken while studying a binary fission slide are:

  • The slides have to be focused properly for a clear vision.
  • The slides have to first focused under low-power magnification (10X) of the compound microscope, observed and studied.  
  • Later, it can be focused under high-power magnification (45X) of the compound microscope and observed.
  • Draw diagrams as per the observations made under the microscope.
  • Note down the identification features of the various stages of the process.
  • Spectacle usage can be avoided while using microscopes.
