Two properties alloy are : i Electrical conductivity ii Melting point of an alloy is less than that of pure metal.

(i) Calcium metal reacts with water.

(ii) Cinnabar is heated in the presence of air.

or in other language-:

  • alloys are considered to be harder, and stronger due to the mixture of elements. -
  • alloys are corrosion-resistant, and less malleable in nature. This property can be reasoned by the increase in hardness of alloy metal.
