What are some of the first things you do in the morning?

Manages blood sugar levels.

No matter when I sleep, my biological clock wakes me up at the same time daily.

This is what my schedule for the last couple of months has been like,

7:00–7:30

Wakes up and goes straight to the wash basin. Spends 10 seconds to decide which hand I should use to brush my teeth because apparently using your left hand in small activities improves your creativity. When I’m done, I find my coffee and Dad’s Tea on the table. Dad starts peeling almonds for me while mom is busy in the kitchen.

He picks up Times of India while I pick Mumbai Mirror. I quickly scan through the paper to spend more time on sports page and ‘Ask the Sexpert’ column. :P

7:30–8:00

Dad wraps up and takes a bath while I continue to scan the news paper. I check my mails in between and chat with my Quora friend. If there is any mail from the recruiters, I quickly reply and send them any details/documents they need. Meanwhile, mom is still in the kitchen.

8:00–8:30

I’m done with my newspaper and now settle in front of my laptop. I try to find out any relevant openings on any of the job portals and apply for it while also modifying my Resume according to the profiles.

Dad and Mom are now doing their daily puja.

8:30–9:00

Mom now calls me forcefully and serves breakfast to me and Dad. After having our breakfast, Dad leaves for office while I go back to my room and try to complete the online courses I started. I waste most of the time getting desperate for results and hoping for an interview call. The maid looks at me as if I’m just useless or maybe that’s just my perception. Mom continues with her work from home and I continue to prepare and hope.
