Solution

Given that , the side of a square is 7 cm.

Now , we have to calculate both Perimeter and Area of that particular square. Perimeter is basically the measure of length of its boundary as we know that square has total 4 sides therefore

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

⇒ Perimeter = 4 × 7 cm

⇒ Perimeter = 28 cm .

In order to calculate area i.e to measure the length of that portion which is enclosed by square of side 7 cm as already stated.

Area of Square = side × side

⇒ Area = 7 × 7 = 49 cm²
