Some people say that your "Ideal Life" is nothing more than a fantasy, somewhat like World Peace. Michelangelo once said; "The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark." This is probably true for most people, but there are still some people out there who have wonderful goals and dreams, which will probably never get to see any of them come true. I just hope and pray that I am one of the lucky ones! With out our dreams what do we have to live for? When asked what my "ideal life" situation would be, I had no option but to admit that I did not have a clue. But the more that I think about it, the more that I realize that maybe I was wrong, maybe I know what I want, maybe I was/am just afraid that I wouldn't be able to achieve my goals, But what's the point of goals if you don't have to strive to reach them?
If I could have my "ideal job", it would be a High school Teacher, or something along those lines. I really want to be able to help someone in the way that people have helped me. So therefore, my "ideal career" would have to include the opportunity to help Children and Teens. I feel that with all that I have been through, I would be able to help kids because I would be able to relate to them, and know where they are coming from. There are so many kids out there who are like me, and do not have anyone to turn to, and if I could just be that person for one child, it would make my life worth living. I always see former students returning to schools to see their old teachers and to update them on their lives because that teacher has made an impact on their lives. I would love to influence someone's life to the point that they would take time out of their day for me!
