after a long and difficult freedom struggle India attained her Independence from British rule in 1947. but this Independence came with the partition of the country a new state of Pakistan was created in the partition of west and east India . Pakistan was taken away from India.

The sector grew at about 1% per annum in the first half of the 20th century during post- independence era the growth rate Nugget about 2. 6 % per annum of expansion of farming area and introduction of high yielding variety of crops were the major factor of growth in agriculture production.

the Indian road network has become one of the largest in the world with the total road length increase fromb 0.399 million kilometres in 1951 to 4.24 million kilometre as July 2014. Moreover the total length of the country National Highway was increased from 24000 kilometre (1947 -69)to 92,851 kilometre (2014). governmental efforts have led to the expansion of network of state Highways and major district roads, which in turn has directly contributed to industrial growth.
after almost seven decades of independence India has emerged as the third largest producer of electricity in Asia it has increased its electricity generation capacity from 1,362 MW in 1947 to 1,13,506 MW as of 2004. overall power generation in India has increased from 301billion units during 1992 -93 to 558. 1 billion units in 2003 -04. when it come to rural electrification the Indian government has managed to bring light to 5,93,732 (2013 figure) villages as compared to 3061 in 1950.
progress in education sector
the government lost the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in 2001 to ensure education for the children from 6 to 14 years. Prior to that it had launched an effective initiative.

Malnutrition in children under 5 years came down to 44% in 2006 from 67% in 1979 governments efforts yielded result as the number of tuberclosis cases also got reduced to 185 per lakh people in 2009 the cases of HIV infected peoples are also witnessing a declining Trend.

independent India has taken confident in its road to scientific development. its Prowess was it being manifested in a gradual scaling up of ambitious project .India takes pride in its space program which begins with the launch of its first satellite Aryabhatta in 1975. since then India has emerged as the space power that has successfully launched 4 satellites in first mission to the Mars was launch in November 2013 which successfully reach the planet Orbit on 24 September 2014.

Although we have friends and family to share our thoughts and get suggestions, we think books are the best when it comes to live a life full of wisdom, but no explanation. A book can be the one thing which I can read all day long leaving behind all the problems. I like books because they give us knowledge, but never expect us, or force us to remain obedient to one proven or unproven piece of information.
