Daily tonnes of smoke is released into the atmosphere by factories , vehicles and power plants . The combustion of fossil fuels is the potent danger due to releasation of harmful gas like carbon monooxide , carbon dioxide and soot and dust . The smoke contains toxic acid causing health hazards like asthma and lung cancer . Cities have turned into unfit places , vehicles exhausts have turned the roads into a whirl of dust and harmful gasses . Garbage and wastes are disposed in water and soil is covered with plastics and waste. We can smell filth across the environment .
Thus, it is very much in our hands to contain the increasing pollution rates . It is high time when we realise and there is no time to play the blame game , but try our best to recover the Earth .
