Answer:

I am a Water Saviour

Water conservation or saving water is the practice of using our water supply wisely and efficiently to reduce wastage. Water conservation is important because fresh water is a limited resource.

I am a water saviour because I understand that mankind, animals, birds and all all life forms need water for survival. Our body uses water in all its cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate its temperature and maintain other bodily functions. The conservation of water is essential to save energy, protect wild animals, and prevent people from using so much water that it cannot be replaced by rain.

I am a water saviour because the scarcity of water is a major problem touching every continent and I must do something about it. All causes of water scarcity are related to human interference with the water cycle. It is important to use water judiciously and avoid wastage of water and to recycle used water so that it can be used again.

We can conserve water and prevent wasting of water in the daily activities of our lives.

1. Fix any leak in your toilet, faucets and both indoor and outdoor pipes. You may be wasting many gallons of water due to leakage.

2. Do not use your toilet as a trash can. Water is wasted when you have to flush away the trash.

3. Don't waste water by taking longer showers than is necessary.

4. While brushing your teeth or shaving, turn off the tap when not in use.

5. Don't use your automatic dishwasher several times a day. Use for full loads only. If you wash dishes by hand, don't leave the water running.

6. Like the automatic dishwashing machine, use your washing machine only for full loads only.

7. Rinse your vegetables in a bowl instead of washing them in a running water tap.

8. Water your lawn only when it needs it and not as and when you want to.

9. Position your sprinklers so that water lands on your lawn or garden, not in areas where it does no good.

10. Plant drought-resistant trees and plants. There are many beautiful trees and plants which thrive with less water.

11. Children love to with water hose or sprinkler. But this is extremely wasteful of precious water and should be discouraged.

I am a water saviour. We all can be water saviours. Water is a finite resource. If not managed properly it will result in acute scarcity in future. Let us commit ourselves to conserve water for the preservation of human life and all other life forms on Earth.
