Given: Given expression is 1 - 2/p - 3/t.

To find: We have to convert it to a single fraction.

Solution:

The given expression is 1 - 2/p - 3/t.

To convert it in a single fraction we have to make a LCM of below functions.

1 -  \frac{2}{p} -  \frac{3}{t}

LCM of p and t is pt.

Multiplying and dividing the whole expression with pt we get-

(1 \times pt -  \frac{2}{p}  \times pt -  \frac{3}{t}  \times pt ) \div pt \\  =  \frac{(pt - 2t - 3p)}{pt}

The simplified fraction is

\frac{(pt - 2t - 3p)}{pt}
